Everyday is a Winding Road.

Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment-every part of it- will live on forever.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

It's Mom's BIG 6-0! We've been celebrating Mom's birthday since Wednesday.

Day 1, Wednesday, 090507:

Her Assumption Classmates flew in from Manila to surprise her. Mom thought it was only T. Suzie Ortigas and her daughter Tabbie and T. Mary Anne Borromeo who was coming for her birthday. The first surprise was T. Baby Girl Baluyot coming with T. Suzie. The second surprise was T. Mary Anne Chan who pretended she couldn't in Bacolod for Mom's birthday. We had lunch at Chicken House (my titas were craving for Bacolod Inasal!) and then had dessert in Calea. Tita Mary Anne C. hosted dinner at 21, and then we had a few drinks at Mu Shu. We finished the huge bottle of Grey Goose T. Suzie brought before 10 pm!

Day 2, Thursday, 090607, was Mom's day:

T. Jenny and T. Baby flew in. Lunch at Tana Dicang's (an old Lizares Mansion in Talisay). We then took mom around the whole afternoon. And then us kids told her we were gonna go to SM to get something for the dinner, which she thought was gonna be just us and her Assumption friends. When she got home, she was surprised to see her "Berks." We celebrated mass and had dinner. Oh, and we all had to wear red. My brother was so malas that he got sore eyes on mom's big day! Nevertheless, all the guests had so much fun- and the food T. Suzie prepared was sooooo gooooodddd! And then there was a lot of dancing.. and a lotta Sangria! Alavveettt!

Day 3, Friday, 090707:

We took her Assumption friends around, and had lunch at Inaka.

Some of her friends had to leave for Manila earlier so we brought them to the airport. The rest are still here and they're still celebrating Mom's birthday! =)

Mom claims this is her best birthday! =) I think we all had a successful job!

MOMMY! I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH AND I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE FOR ME. THANK YOU FOR TREATING ME LIKE YOUR OWN. HAPPY 60TH!
