One Tree Hill Love.
Nikliz and I are die hard OTH fans. So when we're both bored, we copy lines from OTH or from the inet. I always catch myself writing my favorite lines during long hour lectures. Such an emo.
Anyway, these are some of my favorite lines. The italicized ones are my favorite favorites. I can always relate. I love Peyton!!!!
Lucas's opening quote: "Do you ever wonder if we make the moments in our lives or the moments in our lives make us?"
Lucas' opening quote: "Ever wonder how long it takes to change your life? What measure of time is enough to be life-altering? Is it four years, like high school? One year? An eight-week walking tour? Can your life change in a month, or a week, or a single day? We're always in a hurry to grow up, to go places, to get ahead…but when you're young, one hour can change everything."
Lucas' opening quote: "Sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life that you expect it to always be there…because you can't remember a time in your life when it wasn't. But then one day you feel something else-something that feels wrong, only because it's so unfamiliar. And in that moment you realize…you're happy."
Lucas' closing quote: "Happiness comes in many forms-in the company of good friends, in the feeling you get when you make someone else's dream come true, or in the promise of hope renewed. It's okay to let yourself be happy because you never know how fleeting that happiness might be.
"Most people are stronger than they know. They just forget to believe in it sometimes." Keith to Lucas
Lucas's breakup quote: "I guess I should have said something. Anything. I mean, for a guy who wants to be a writer, and to suddenly seem like no words had ever been written. But for someone to tell you that they somehow stopped missing you, you're pretty much screwed-no matter what you say. See, there had to be something right? Something that no one had ever said in the history of the world, something that could change this."
"Looking back on what I said all those years ago, all the hopes and dreams I had, I've come to the conclusion that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to is a measure of a successful life, then some would say I'm a failure. The important thing is not to be bitter over life's disappointments. Learn to let go of the past, and recognize that every day won't be sunny. And when you find yourself lost in the darkness of despair remember, it's only in the black of night that you see the stars, and those stars lead you back home.
"So don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, because most of the time the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for. Maybe you'll get more than you ever could have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination." -- Whitey's time capsule message

"Nobody has all the answers, but we do have all our whys, like why did this happen? Why didn't we see it coming? Why do people watch American Idol?" --Rachel to Lucas
"Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty, this hatred, how did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us that we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return, but knowing that some would be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows. Swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name? Is it your name?" -- Lucas
Lucas ended the episode (and tossed his heart medications into the river) with a quote from Robert Lewis Stephenson: "You cannot run away from weakness; you must fight it out or perish. And if that be so, why not now, and where you stand?"

Referring to how he feels about Brooke, Lucas quoted Pascal, the French mathematician and religious philosopher, to Rachel: "The heart has reasons that reason does not know."

Lucas: (show opener) Henry David Thoreau once said, 'Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.'

Peyton: At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just not facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls. And sometimes…all you need is one.

Lucas quote: Stephen King wrote: Time takes it all. Whether you want it to or not, time takes it all away, time bares it away. And in the end, there is only darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness, and sometimes we lose them there again.

Tennessee Williams (quoted by Lucas): When so many are lonely as seem to be lonely, it would be inexcusably selfish to be lonely alone.

Nathan: When I fell to the floor tonight, I was so scared, I was so terrified. Then I saw you, and I promised myself that if I could just get up, I'd walk over to you... I'd tell you how much I need you and how much I want you... and how nothing else matters.

Peyton: [to Lucas] I want to draw something that means something to someone. Like when you go see a really great band live for the first time and no one is saying it but everyone's thinking it... I want to draw that feeling, but I can't.

Lucas: [voice-over] As happens sometimes a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone.
"Have you ever wondered what marks our time here-if one life can really make an impact on the world or if the choices we make matter? Sometimes in order to move forward, you have to go back…in this case, just a few minutes."
"When life comes rushing at you out of the darkness who will you choose to face it with? Will it be someone you trust? Will they be wise? And will their love for you help them to guide you to the light, or will they lose their way in the darkness? Will they make noble choices? Or will that person be untested, someone new?
Life comes rushing at you from out of the darkness. When it does, is there someone in your life you can count on -- someone who will watch over you when you stumble and fall, and in that moment, give you the strength to face your fears alone?"
"There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on the path while others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be honored by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or to simply give up."
"There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment who will you be? Will you let down your defenses and find solace in someone unexpected? Will you reach out? Will you face your greatest fears bravely or move forward with faith? Or will you succumb to the darkness in your soul?"
"Did you ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many people have pictures of you, how many moments of other people's lives we've been in. Were we part of someone's life when their dream came true, or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in, as if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shot take us by surprise? Just think, you could be a big part of someone else's life, and not even know it."
"There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroads. Afraid. Confused. Without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days.
Of course, when faced with the unknown, most of us would rather turn around and go back.
But once in awhile people push on to something better-something found just beyond the pain of going it alone and just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in. Or to give someone a second chance.
Something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream.
Because it's only when you're tested that you discover who you truly are. And it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be. The person you want to be does exist, somewhere on the other side of hard work, faith and belief, and beyond heartache and fear of what lies ahead."
My name is Lucas Scott. I'm a senior at Tree Hill High School. I play basketball -- at least I used to. I have a girlfriend -- at least I used to. And I have a best friend. Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it's a lot like your world, maybe it's nothing like it. But if you look closer, you might see someone like you, or someone like you. Someone trying to find their way. Someone trying to find their place. Someone trying to find their self. Sometimes it seems like you are the only one in the world who's struggling, who's frustrated, unsatisfied, barely getting by. But that feeling's a lie. And if you just hold on, just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find you and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes-someone to helps us hear the music in their world, to remind us that it won't always be this way. That someone is out there. And that someone will find you." -- Lucas's ending quote
"At this moment there are six billion, five-hundred and two million, eight hundred and sixty seven thousand one hundred and twenty people in the world-give or take a few. And sometimes all you need is one. For better or for worse." Season 3 Finale
"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who lived in a kingdom far, far away. And in that kingdom there also lived a Boy, and the princess loved that Boy. And so the two decided to marry. Now in this kingdom, all is not well. So the princess and The Boy were set to be wed. And because she was a princess, the call went out for a beautiful gown. Now as the wedding day approached, the princess worried about the evil king, because although he had not always been this way his heart had turned dark and his kingdom had grown to fear and despise him. In the days before the wedding, the king surprised the princess and gave his blessing to the marriage. But the princess was still torn. Even though she had found her true love, it would mean that she would have to leave her faithful handmaiden behind forever. On the eve of the princess's wedding a lavish feast was arranged. Friends and royalty were summoned from lands far away to join the happy couple for a night of laugher and magic. As the night wore on, a calm fell upon the land. All was right in the world. If only for a moment. Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away, there lived a beautiful princess who loved a Boy. But the people have their struggles, as all people do. And they had grown to fear and despise the king whose heart had turned dark. But in the end, the love between the princess and the Boy was undeniable and true. And over time that love would see them through anything. Magical things happened to them, things they couldn't explain, much like love itself. And like most fairy tales, the princess and the Boy lived happily ever after." –Jake
